Faith, Work, and Human Flourishing
Throughout church history, Christianity has preserved the fundamental idea that our lives count for something because God has a divine, supernatural plan for his people. And as followers of Christ, our resolve for engaging social welfare is found in Jesus. Our impetus for feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, caring for orphans and widows, freeing those enslaved, and elevating others is not rooted in humanist, postmodern frameworks but in our Christian worldview. Scripture is our touchstone for orthodoxy and orthopraxy; it is our foundation for truth and our motivation for valuing life. This compelling Faith, Work, and Human Flourishing webinar highlights how the biblical narrative illuminates the Church’s commitment to human flourishing and dignity. We discuss reasons we are called to elevate the sanctity of life and pragmatic ways to engage this common good work for his glory.
