Sorting Through Polarization and the Two Kinds of Evangelicalism in the Public Square
As evangelical Christians enter the public square, there are at least two key approaches present, and we are not talking about conservatives versus progressives. There is a theological evangelicalism and a political evangelicalism to consider. This has brought public tension into the church in ways pastors say is unprecedented in their lifetime. We explore what is going on, why and how to think about it biblically and how and why God has the church in His plans for such a reality as ours is. Nicole serves with CMDA’s Racism, Reconciliation, Equality and Diversity (R2ED) Committee to help advance biblical justice and reconciliation, particularly in healthcare. Nicole also serves as Director of State Public Policy and is the Executive Vice President for the American Academy of Medical Ethics. Prior to, she joined CMDA in August 2018 to serve as the Washington, DC Area Director to raise up and grow the four DC-area campus ministries until July 2021.
