About the Virtual Event

As healthcare and ministry professionals, we navigate the complex landscape of addiction among those we serve. The daily challenges we face in our communities highlight our need for honest, vulnerable, and informed conversation. Join the Christian Medical & Dental Associations and Dallas Theological Seminary for a virtual conference to reflect and learn together about addressing addiction from within the theological and healthcare communities.

The journey toward wellness benefits from meaningful collaboration among caregivers tending to the body and the soul. Therefore, speakers will invite us to consider a comprehensive response to the medical and spiritual dimensions of caring for people overwhelmed by addiction and dependency. Conference attendees will enjoy a dynamic, enlightening conversation that cultivates a holistic, interdisciplinary understanding of addiction. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to engage in an urgent and practical dialogue!

Some previous conversations have included the right of conscience and questions concerning gender and identity. We also host webinars and would love you to join us at our next one!

Early exposure to these destructive forces set him on a path to recognize the long-term effects of trauma, which often lead to homelessness. While completing his Master’s Degree in Cross-Cultural Ministry at Dallas Theological Seminary, Wayne befriended and ministered to men and women in the homeless community. During that time, he began to establish personal, discipleship-oriented relationships with homeless individuals, many in the same urban setting where he and his family continue to work today.
